Hot Take= New Year but with Better Energy

We are Ringing in the New Year with better energy. 

To put it plainly, I saw a lot of things in 2025 that were amazing, and a lot of things that I’d like to leave behind.

The amazing things? Well… that is an easy one. 

-the wonderfully special moments between couples, their families, and their guests

-all the personal touches, beautiful vows, and significant traditions

-all the QUEER LOVE we celebrated 

And I cannot forget to mention the outstanding growth we experienced as a business. We were privileged enough to plan and assist with 27 weddings, 2 photoshoots, and added to our team this year!

I am so grateful for all of these special moments, big and small. 

So how about the things I’d love to leave in the past, permanently? 

-AI everything… more on this in a moment

-pressure to spend, trend, and stress when that is absolutely not necessary

-vendors with bad energy and giving other grief 

And a lot more that I probably shouldn’t mention 

Where does that leave us when thinking about the new year?

Well, I’ll tell you.

This year we are striving to be Radically and Aggressively HUMAN

Let’s get into what that actually means

It’s hard to tell what’s real anymore. Everywhere you look, it seems like the images and videos are heavily filtered/altered/ or completely fake AI. 

There are even rumors that AI is buying Pinterest (not confirmed, but rumored). 

Meaning, it’s going to be even harder to tell if those flowers, hair and makeup, dresses, tablescapes, are real! 

This is especially difficult in the wedding world, because we are all comparing our weddings, budgets, and visions to literal AI and what we see online.

How can you tell if that vendors’ work is legit? How can you tell if that beauty look is even possible? How can you navigate a world where you don’t know which direction is up?

We want to combat that, and we are doing that by swinging hard in the other direction.

Being radically and aggressively HUMAN.

Let’s talk about all the things we do, that AI simply cannot

• Get to know you on a personal and emotional level, so we can make in-the-moment decisions on  your behalf

• Become familiar with your stresses, fears, anxieties, and worries and do everything in our power to keep those from you on the day

• Fuel you with food, water, treats, champagne, and positivity on the wedding day

• Crawl under your dress and fix your spanx before photo time

• Reality check your mother-in-law the week of the wedding while she freaks out about a miniscule detail

• Keep your groomsmen in line when the “just want to go for a quick game of golf” before the photos 

• Go to the store and get fresh mint because the bar ran out

• Sweep up the sand that that 5 year old ring bearer brought in and played with before everyone slips on it

• Bribe the flower girls with dum dum suckers before they walk down the aisle 

• Steal your phone and record your first look so you can look back on it 

• Sneak tissues to everyone who even looks slightly teary as they walk into the ceremony 

• Find grandma a coffee even though you aren’t serving coffee at the wedding 

• Steam your dresses and remove all stains, tie a tie and pint a boutonniere perfectly 

• Quickly reconfigure the entire reception because the band has to move inside due to extreme winds

• Rearrange your seating chart at the last minute due to a guest shuffle 

• Clean up the bridal suite for nice looking photos while everyone else is busy

• Call the limo driver to get an eta and location before arrivals 

• Keep the guests entertained while timelines run tight 

• Get you both your signature drink and a snack during photos at cocktail hour 

• Make sure your cards, gifts, and marriage license go with the correct person

• Call an uber for your cousin who partied too hard 

The list honestly could go on for miles, but we truly have your best interest at heart. 

We know all the best vendors and who is legit and who might be buying their likes and reviews. 

We know when you should splurge and when you can negotiate on a price tag.

We can look at a room and tell when “something is just a bit off” and fix it before anyone notices. 

Overall, we want to be there for you in every way, big and small. We are here for the important moments, the small moments, the stressful moments, and everything in between. 

This is your one wedding day, and it deserves the intimate and expert care of a person with years of experience and passion for the job. 

And AI just can’t do that!
